Supporting the Coaching and Mentoring Industry with Ethics, Standards,
a unified single register, and an Ombudsman Service for Consumers.

The IRCM’s remit is to create an independent international register of all individuals and organisations working within the coaching and mentoring industry.  To achieve this, the IRCM is working with Professional Bodies from all areas of coaching and mentoring to create a single unified register.

For the consumers benefit; whether
a client of a coach and/or mentor, a student of a Training Organisation, or a member of a Professional Body;

the IRCM provides you transparency and openness in its single unified register.

This register focuses specifically on Professional Bodies, Education Bodies, and Commercial Organisations.

Professional Bodies monitor and manage the competency, quality, and insurance status for all coaches, mentors, and private commercial training organisations.

Education covers both Formal Education Bodies (Universities, Colleges, and Schools where the education is created and support by the countries Education Department/System) and included on a Professional Bodies registration/accreditation, their list of accredited/credentialed Private Commercial Training Organisations/Companies.

Support Groups are recognised for their localised support and on-going continuing professional development for coaches and mentors.

The Individual Suppliers Register will provide you with a list of all Coaches and/or Mentors that are included on a Professional Bodies list of accredited/credentialed Coaches and/or Mentors register.

Commercial Organisations fall into one of five categories: (1) Professional Bodies, (2) Support Groups, (3) Industry Related Commercial Organisations, (4) Non-industry Related Commercial Organisations, and (5) Industry Supporting Organisations.

To provide the consumers with transparency each Professional Body this single unified register will provide a link from their own website, showing coaches, mentors, and private commercial training organisations showing their competence and quality through membership, credentialing, accreditation, training and insurance.  Coaches, mentors, and private commercial training organisations who have registered directly with the IRCM, they will be found on the relevant register and the IRCM will note their reason for not joining a Professional Body.

This register will also note individuals and organisations who have ceased to trade.

The IRCM’s register will identify;

  • Professional Bodies through their REGISTERED status, agree to abide by a unified Code of Industry Ethics, unified Core Competencies, Disciplinary Procedures, and the recognition of a central Ombudsman Service, and through their ACCREDITED status who in addition to being registered, agree that their organisation is independently verified.
