Business Development Director

The IIC&M (International Institute of Coaching and Mentoring) is one of few officially recognised accreditation bodies, is the preferred Accreditation Body for Coaches, Mentors, Training Providers and Clients; which creates excellence in the coaching and mentoring professions.
The successful applicant will be offered the role of Business Development Manager for a probationary period, after which they will be offered the role of Business Development Director and a seat on the IIC&M Board. This role can be conducted alongside existing client base.
Business Development Directors Job Purpose:
Increase membership (Associate Members, Accredited Coaches, Accredited Mentors) and increase course/workshop accreditations.
There are a number of ways in which the Business Development Director can pursue the Job Purpose which includes working with all size of businesses, training organisations, as well as individual students, coaches, and mentors.
The Business Development Director is the Account Manager between the IIC&M and the businesses, training organisations, and individuals, as the key point of contact for new and renewing memberships and accreditations.
Business Development Directors Job Duties:
  • Implementing international territory programmes.
  • Substantial growth through membership numbers and course accreditations.
  • Working closely with, while motivating and holding accountable all relevant International and Country heads; who in turn will motivate and hold accountable their teams.
  • In relation to Business Development, pulling the International and Country teams together.
  • Lead the marketing team to drive the numbers.
  • Lead the teams to initiate, refine, and drive additional income streams.
  • Promotion of the IIC&M.
  • Building strategic partnerships with corporates, training organisations, and sponsors.
  • Fulfilling the strategy determined by the Board.
  • Meeting growth targets agreed at Board level.
  • Work with Membership and Operations to retain members and accredited courses/workshops.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending regular meetings, relevant workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and where appropriate participating in professional societies.
  • Negotiating contracts in relation to business growth.

Business Development Directors Qualifications and Training:

Relevant experience gained in any commercial operation involving contact with the general public, businesses, and customers will be beneficial.

Business Development Director application process:

  • Attend a first interview using skype with a Director.
  • Short listed applicants will be offered a second interview with the Operations Director.
The successful applicant will:
  • be offered the position of Business Development Manager.
  • work closely with the relevant Director during their probationary period of 3 months.
  • need to actively demonstrate, through regular meetings and record keeping, their progress; demonstrating their ability to achieve growth targets set by the Board within their probationary period.
  • meet growth targets from month 4.
  • exceed growth targets within a reasonable period of time.
  • earn 30% commission of all net income generated through all new sales and marketing channels.
  • earn 15% commission on all renewal income generated through membership and course/workshop accreditation renewals.
  • possible target earnings in the region of £3,000 or more per month.
  • be paid their commission one month in arrears.
  • be paid commission for the length of their term of service.
  • on successfully completing their probation period be offered the position of Business Development Director and a seat on the IIC&M Board.
