Planning for 2021?

Looking back at 2020 and the plans that you had for the year, have you achieved all of them, any of them, or none of them?
Whether you had plans or didn't have plans, 2020 changed everything. At the start of the year, everything seemed 'normal' - a year that would be like any other; but within a short period of time, it became apparent that life was not going to be 'normal'. Changes were required!
Now as you look backwards in order to plan forwards, what are you thinking?
It is reported that J.K. Rowling planned seven years at Hogwarts before she put pen to paper on Chapter 1 of the first book. George Lucas was the same - he planned for at least six files before creating the first Star Wars moving in the 1970's.
The message is simple: Don't plan for a tree, plan for an orchard.

In the same way that you would create a goal, break it down into manageable chunks, and set out to take one step at a time to achieve it; your annual goals should be treated in the same way. Begin with the end result in your mind. Rowling was able to create a much bigger story and set things up in the first book because she had a clear vision of the future - the following and final books.
Taking into consideration that events outside of your control can have a huge impact on your aspirations, dreams, plans, and goals; spend a few moments thinking about the future. What is your ultimate goal?
Before you set your goals for 2021, what is your ultimate goal?
Clearly document it and the year in which you expect to achieve your ultimate goal.
If you will achieve your ultimate in, following the Rowling plan of seven years time; break your seven years into each year, starting with 2021, following with 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027!
Before you commit to this ultimate goal and yearly plan, think about 2020 and its impact on everyone's life. What would happen to your ultimate goal and seven-year plan? Your ultimate goal will still be achievable, but will it be achievable in the seven years?
