A Professional Body is recognised as an industry-related organisation who provides an accreditation/credential process for Coaches, Mentors, and Private Commercial Training Organisations to raise the profile of the coaching and mentoring industry.
As an organisation that selects to accredit/register with the IRCM CIC who represents their Coaches and/or Mentors and/or Private Commercial Training Organisations is a Professional Body that demonstrates their commitment to their own consumers, as well as to the consumers of their consumers.
Each Professional Body who Registers/Accredits with the IRCM CIC, both confirm that they include the international industry Unified Codes of Conduct (Standards, Ethics, Core Competencies) and details of the Ombudsman Service in their own Professional Body Codes of Conduct; as well as working closely within the industry to determine the future of the industry which includes reviewing and updating the international industry recognised Codes of Conduct (Standards, Ethics, Core Competencies).
Professional Bodies serve the Private Commercial Training Companies and the Individual Suppliers (Coaches, and Mentors) by providing a verification process (accreditation/credential); a membership service; and support. This ensures that the:
- Private Commercial Training Organisations who train the Coaches and/or Mentors to work with the Consumer, has the right level of training and is working within the international industry Unified Codes of Conduct and recognises the Ombudsman Service.
- Coaches and/or Mentors, who work with the Consumer, have the right level of competence and is working within the international industry Unified Codes of Conduct and recognises the Ombudsman Service.
The IRCM CIC accredited/registered Professional Bodies provide clarity to the consumers of their consumers, who select to benefit from the members of this industry.
