Formal Education Bodies and Commercial Training Organisations that are Registered on the IRCM Education/Training Directory are invited to demonstrate their declaration of transparency by applying for their self-certified IRCM Credential for each course or workshop that they offer.

The name of the Full Course, Short Course, or Workshop is displayed at the top of the page.

This represents the country in which the full course, short course, or workshop is available.

The certificate displayed is an example of the certificate issued for those students who successfully:

  • qualify on the full course, short course, or workshop.
  • gain a certificate of attendance.

The short description provides enough information about the full course, short course, or workshop; for the prospect student to glean an understanding of what they will achieve.

Full courses are generally courses with a duration of many months and will provide a qualification at Diploma, Degree, or Doctorate level; and recognised through the English, Welsh, and Northern Irish Education system as one of the following levels:

  • Level 4: CertHE / HNC
  • Level 5: fDipHE / HND
  • Level 6: Degree with Honours (BA / BSc)
  • Level 7: Master's Degree (MEng / MA / Msc)
  • Level 8: Doctorate

Short courses are generally courses with a duration of two days to three months, and may result in a qualification or may provide a certificate of attendance; and recognised through the English, Welsh, and Northern Irish Education system as one of the following levels:

  • Level 1:
    • GCSE - grades 3, 2, 1 or grades D, E, F, G
    • level 1 national vocational qualification (NVQ)
  • Level 2:
    • GCSE - grades 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 or grades A*, A, B, C
    • level 2 NVQ
    • O level - grade A, B or C
  • Level 3:
    • A level
    • AS level
    • level 3 NVQ
    • international Baccalaureate diploma

Workshops are generally recognised as learning experiences with a duration from half an hour to two days. Workshops rarely result in a qualification but may provide a certificate of attendance.

The IRCM recognises international qualifications and requests that for the Self-certified courses and workshops that are equated to a qualification in a different country, that the details are provided so that they can be detailed on their Directory entry.
