The IRCM’s ACCREDITED Professional Bodies and Commercial Organisations terms, conditions, and toolkit is in addition to the terms, conditions, and toolkit for REGISTERED Professional Bodies and Commercial Organisations.

These terms, conditions, and toolkit apply to ACCREDITED Professional Bodies and ACCREDITED Commercial Organisations.

These terms, conditions, and toolkit do not apply to RECOGNISED Professional Bodies or REGISTERED Coaches, Mentors, Formal Education Bodies, Commercial Training Organisations, Professional Bodies, and Commercial Organisations.

1. Conditions for ACCREDITED Professional Bodies and ACCREDITED Commercial Organisations.

Each ACCREDITED Professional Body is recognised as a REGISTERED Professional Body with an additional level of validation.
Each ACCREDITED Commercial Organisation is recognised as a REGISTERED Commercial Organisation with an additional level of validation.

Therefore, for every Professional Body and Commercial Organisation that has gained its Accreditation with the IRCM, the terms, conditions, and toolkit for REGISTERED Professional Bodies and Commercial Organisations are automatically included.

All Professional Bodies/Commercial Organisations that are REGISTERED and ACCREDITED on the IRCM’s Professional Body/Commercial Organisations Directory have demonstrated their commitment to excellence.  click here for further details.

Each Professional Body ACCREDITED with the IRCM may refer to their organisation as ACCREDITED, see point 2 for full details.

Each Commercial Organisation ACCREDITED with the IRCM may refer to their organisation as ACCREDITED, see point 2 for full details.

In the event of any grievance, dispute, or formal complaint, the IRCM uses the Ombudsman Service.

2. Toolkit for ACCREDITED Professional Bodies and ACCREDITED Commercial Organisations.

The International Regulator of Coaching and Mentoring CIC, also known as IRCM is recognised internationally for its work to promote excellence in Coaching and Mentoring, in order that the consumers benefit from high-quality services and products within the coaching and mentoring industry.

As an ACCREDITED Professional Body or ACCREDITED Professional Body with a current registration and accreditation on the IRCM’s Directory, you can use the IRCM’s name in full or abbreviated on your website (linking back to your Directory entry), on your stationery, or on other promotional materials to raise your own profile, increase your credibility, and promote your organisation.  Please send a copy of all promotional materials, stationery, prospectuses, signage, exhibition stands, press releases, advertisements, and any other material; and all links where you use the IRCM’s name on your website or any internet materials and where you link it to on the IRCM’s website; to directories@ircmcic.org to confirm the validity of using the IRCM’s name.

You require explicit authority to use the IRCM’s name on certificates – membership, training, etc.  Professional Bodies/Commercial Organisations are required to email directories@ircmcic.org for clarification and gaining explicit authority.

If you are unsure of your use of the IRCM’s name, please email directories@ircmcic.org.

  1. Every ACCREDITED Professional Body or ACCREDITED Commercial Organisation that selects to use the IRCM’s name to raise their profile, accepts the terms and conditions stated on this webpage.  
    Please note that these may change from time to time and it is your responsibility to be aware of the current terms and conditions.

  3. Each use of the name must be an accurate representation of your listing on the IRCM’s Directory:
    • IRCM Accredited Professional Body
    • IRCM Accredited Commercial Organisation

  4. Each use of the name must link back to your listing on the IRCM’s Directory.

  5. The IRCM’s name is not your branding, therefore the use of the name must be in proportion to the size of page, advert, etc. and demonstrated accurately as a recognition of your organisation’s registration on the IRCM Directory.

  6. It is important that you represent your registration on the IRCM Directory accurately, and that you are not suggesting that you or your organisation is in partnership with the IRCM.

  7. You are required to send a copy of all promotional materials, stationery, etc. and the links where you use the name on your website or any internet materials; to directories@ircmcic.org to confirm your validity of using the IRCM’s name.

  8. Where you have gained explicit authority to use the IRCM’s name on certificates – membership, training, etc. – you are required to submit a template for approval.

  9. Any misuse of the IRCM’s name will ensure that your registration and accreditation on the IRCM Professional Bodies Directory or IRCM Commercial Organisations Directory is removed, and may only be reinstated once the misuse has been resolved.

As an ACCREDITED Professional Body or ACCREDITED Commercial Organisation with a current registration and accreditation on the IRCM’s Directory, you may only use the IRCM’s logo if you request specific approval from directories@ircmcic.org.

  1. Every ACCREDITED Professional Body or ACCREDITED Commercial Organisation that selects to use the IRCM’s logo to raise their profile, accepts the terms and conditions stated on this webpage.  
    Please note that these may change from time to time, and it is your responsibility to be aware of the current terms and conditions.

  2. You may only use the IRCM’s logo if you have specific approval.
    .
  3. If you have specific approval and do not have a usable copy of the IRCM’s logo, please email directories@ircmcic.org.

  4. You may use one of the formats provided by the IRCM.

  5. You may not change the IRCM logo.

  6. You may not change the colours on the IRCM’s logo.

  7. If you need to enlarge or reduce the size of the logo, you have permission to do so proportionally.

  8. There must be white space around the IRCM logo.

  9. Each use of the logo must be an accurate representation of the reason your Professional Body/Commercial Organisation was granted approval to use the IRCM’s logo.

  12. It is important that you represent your relationship with the IRCM accurately, and that you are not suggesting that your organisation is in partnership with the IRCM.

Please send a copy of all links, promotional materials, stationery, prospectuses, signage, exhibition stands, press releases, advertisements, and any other material; and all links where you use your status on the IRCM’s Directory on your website or any internet materials and where you link it to on the IRCM’s website; to directories@ircmcic.org to confirm the validity of using the IRCM’s Directory status.

You require explicit authority to use your IRCM’s Directory status on certificates – membership, training, etc.
Professional Bodies are required to email directories@ircmcic.org for clarification and to gain explicit authority.

    IRCM ACCREDITED PROFESSIONAL BODY
    for all Professional Bodies are currently registered and accredited on the IRCM’s Professional Bodies Directory.

    IRCM ACCREDITED COMMERCIAL ORGANISATION
    for all Commercial Organisations are currently registered and accredited on the IRCM’s Commercial Organisations Directory.

  3. Each use of the status must be an accurate representation of your details on the IRCM’s Directory:
    • IRCM Accredited Professional Body
    • IRCM Accredited Commercial Organisation
      ..
  4. Each use of your status must link back to your entry on the IRCM’s Directory.

  5. The IRCM’s Directory status is not your branding, therefore the use of the status must be in proportion to the size of the page, advert, etc. and demonstrated accurately as a recognition of your or your organisation’s registration on the IRCM Directory.

  6. It is important that you represent your entry on the IRCM Directory accurately, and that you are not suggesting that you or your organisation is in partnership with the IRCM.
    .
  7. You are required to send a copy of all promotional materials, stationery, etc. and the links where you use the status on your website or any internet materials; to directories@ircmcic.org to confirm the validity of using the IRCM’s Directory status.

  8. Where you have gained explicit authority to use the IRCM’s Directory status on certificates – membership, training, etc. – you are required to submit a template for approval.

  9. Any misuse of the IRCM’s Directory status will ensure that your registration and accreditation on the IRCM Directory is removed, and may only be reinstated once the misuse has been resolved.

It is important that when a Consumer does their due-diligence that they are not faced with confusion.

For this reason, you and your organisation are required to maintain consistency across all platforms in your organisation’s name.

This means if you have gained your ACCREDITATION using a Professional Body name or a Commercial Organisation name, this name must be found across all platforms, from the IRCM’s Directories, through your website, marketing materials, training materials, exhibition materials, certificates, and everything and anything in between.

  1. Every Professional Body or Commercial Organisation who selected to gain ACCREDITATION and uses the IRCM’s Directory to raise their profile, accepts the terms and conditions stated on this webpage.  
    Please note that these may change from time to time and it is your responsibility to be aware of the current terms and conditions.

  2. It is recognised that organisations’ names may change, but where this change occurs and the organisation chooses to change their name for business/trading purposes, it is a requirement that the name is changed on the IRCMs Directory, the individual’s website, and all other marketing, exhibition, etc. materials.
    It is recognised that the organisation may confirm their change of name in the text, showing their previous name.

  3. It is recognised that Professional Bodies or Commercial Organisations may select to trade under a different name to that of their legally registered name.  Where this is the case,
    • It is important that both names appear on the IRCM’s Directory, the organisation’s website, and all other marketing, exhibition, etc. materials.
    • Where an organisation is not formally registered but trades under a trading name or the name of their founder, it is important that they are consistent with one or both names on the IRCM’s Directory, their website, and all other marketing, exhibition, etc. materials.

  4. It is important that you represent your entry on the IRCM Directory accurately, and that you are not suggesting that your organisation is in partnership with the IRCM.
    .
  5. You are required to send a copy of all promotional materials, stationery, etc. and the links where you use your IRCM’s Directory entry on your website or any internet materials; to directories@ircmcic.org to confirm the validity of using the IRCM’s logo.
    .
  6. Where you have gained explicit authority to use your IRCM’s Directory entry on certificates – membership, training, etc. – you are required to submit a template for approval.
    .
  7. Any confusion through the lack of consistency will ensure that your entry on the IRCM Directory is removed, and may only be reinstated once the confusion has been resolved.

As an IRCM ACCREDITED Professional Body or ACCREDITED Commercial Organisation, you will be issued a certificate.

Your certificate is the joint property of the named Professional Body or Commercial Organisation and the IRCM, and remains valid on the proviso that the named Professional Body or Commercial Organisation:

  1. pays their annual IRCM Fees,
  2. maintains their Accreditation status, and
  3. their Declaration is honoured.

The IRCM recommends that you publish your certificate on your website and include a link to your Directory page on the IRCM Professional Bodies Directory or IRCM Commercial Organisation Directory.

The code of conduct sets out the values and conduct that underpin the obligation of each organisation and individual within the coaching and mentoring industry.

This starts with the IRCM and goes through each different type of organisation, coach, and mentor within this industry.

To assist consumers (also known as buyers or end-users) that are buying the products and services provided by each organisation and individual within the coaching and mentoring industry, the IRCM has created a number of codes including a consumer guideline.

As an ACCREDITED Professional Body or ACCREDITED Commercial Organisation, you have agreed to abide by:

  • Codes of Conduct,
  • Coaching and Mentoring Industry Standards and Ethics,
  • Coaching and Mentoring Industry Core Competencies,
  • IRCM’s Disciplinary Procedures, and
  • recognise the Coaching and Mentoring Industry Ombudsman Service.

The IRCM recommends that you include a link to these in your material, so that your consumers fully understand what you have committed to.

3. Terms for ACCREDITED Professional Bodies and ACCREDITED Commercial Organisations.

All individuals and organisations within the Coaching and Mentoring industry may select to REGISTER their details on one or more of the IRCM’s Directories.

Professional Bodies and non-industry Commercial Organisations have the option to upgrade their Registration and, through independent verification of their policies, processes, procedures, standards, ethics, etc. gain Accreditation.

Where your Professional Body or Commercial Organisation does not comply with the Terms, Conditions, and Toolkit you will be contacted and if not resolved, your entry will be removed from the IRCM Directory, and may only be reinstated once the reason has been resolved.

Every Professional Body will submit their application to register using the online REGISTRATION process and the REGISTERED Professional Bodies Terms will apply.

Every Professional Body has the option to upgrade its application, either on registration or at a later date, to gain an independent validation of its policies, processes, procedures, standards, ethics, etc. to gain ACCREDITATION.  Once ACCREDITATION is awarded, the ACCREDITED Professional Bodies Terms will apply.

Where the Professional Body has applied for REGISTRATION and ACCREDITATION, its registration will be confirmed once the payment has been received, and the IRCM’s Professional Body Directory will be updated.  The main contact will be contacted by the Accreditation Department to begin the process of gaining accreditation.

All initial applications include a one-off registration fee.  This is an administration fee to cover the cost of ensuring that the registration is valid and processed in a timely fashion.

Every non-industry Commercial Organisation will submit their application to register using the online REGISTRATION process and the REGISTERED Commercial Organisations Terms will apply.

Every non-industry Commercial Organisation has the option to upgrade its application, either on registration or at a later date, to gain an independent validation of its policies, processes, procedures, standards, ethics, etc. to gain ACCREDITATION.  Once ACCREDITATION is awarded, the ACCREDITED Professional Bodies Terms will apply.

Where the Commercial Organisation has applied for REGISTRATION and ACCREDITATION, its registration will be confirmed once the payment has been received, and the IRCM’s Commercial Organisation Directory will be updated.  The main contact will be contacted by the Accreditation Department to begin the process of gaining accreditation.

All initial applications include a one-off registration fee.  This is an administration fee to cover the cost of ensuring that the registration is valid and processed in a timely fashion.

Your REGISTRATION will remain valid for as long as your annual fee is paid.
Your ACCREDITATION will remain valid for as long as your annual REGISTRATION fee is paid; and your ACCREDITATION is maintained with the renewal application process and fee submitted and paid when required.

Where your annual REGISTRATION fee is not paid, your Directory listing will be changed from REGISTERED to LISTED.
Your ACCREDITATION will expire should your annual REGISTRATION fee not be paid.

Where your ACCREDITATION renewal application is not successful or the fee is not paid, your Directory listing will be changed from ACCREDITED to REGISTERED (as long as your annual REGISTRATION fee is current).

You may update or change your Directory entry details.
It is recommended that you update or change your Directory entry immediately a change is approved by the organisation.

It is recommended that if your organisation are no longer trading, or is no longer working within the coaching and mentoring industry; that it is de-registered.

The IRCM may select to remove your entry from the Professional Bodies or Commercial Organisations Directory if:

  • The Code of Conduct is breached.
  • The Terms, Conditions, and Toolkit is breached.
  • You bring the IRCM into disrepute.
  • You bring the coaching and/or mentoring industry into disrepute.
  • A formal complaint is made and after investigation, is determined to have foundation and your organisation is Sanctioned.
  • For non-payment of annual fees.

On resolution, your Directory entry may be reinstated.

You may promote your organisation in line with these Terms, Conditions, and Toolkit.

The IRCM may select to promote your organisation through its news, website, social media, general promotions, or press releases.

When you have a new launch, you are encouraged to contact the IRCM Communication Department and request the IRCM’s support in your launch.

On Registering, all individuals and organisations agree, acknowledge and accept the IRCM’s Data Protection Policy and Data Privacy Statement.

When Registering, all individuals and organisations agree, acknowledge and accept the IRCM’s Copyright Statement.

PROFESSIONAL BODY PARTICIPATION

As a representative of the Coaching and Mentoring Industry, each ACCREDITED Professional Body will work closely with the IRCM to protect the industry’s Consumers through active participation in driving the industry forward and determining the industry’s future.

This will be done through regular meetings, feedback, input, and survey responses.

COMMERCIAL ORGANISATION PARTICIPATION

As a representative of the Coaching and Mentoring Industry, each ACCREDITED Commercial Organisation has the opportunity to work closely with the IRCM to protect the industry’s Consumers through active participation in driving the industry forward and determining the industry’s future.

This will be done through feedback, input, and survey responses.

PROMOTION

Each ACCREDITED Professional Body and ACCREDITED Commercial Organisation has the opportunity to promote its products and/or services in each IRCM publication.

Email directories@ircmcic.org in advance and your promotion will be shared on the IRCM’s website with a link to your Directory entry, newsletters, press releases (as appropriate), and other social media activity.
